Celeborn (Keleborn) was a Sindarin Elf and a prince of Doriath. In Doriath he wedded Galadriel and they fled west together.

When the First Age drew to an end, Celeborn remained in Middle-earth, and at some point he and Galadriel moved further west and settled Lórien together. After the departure of Galadriel from Middle-earth, Celeborn soon grew weary of being king and went to Rivendell, and possibly sailed over the Sea.
