Beorn was a berserker, a skin-changer, and the chief of the Beornings. He hated Orcs more than anything, though he did not like many people at all. He had a good heart, however. He aided the Good Side in the Battle of Five Armies and before that provided lodging and food for the Company of Erebor. Beorn killed Bolg, the leader of the Orcs, in the Battle of Five Armies.
